Truth of life

What is the ultimate destination? Where are we leading? These were some questions that provoked my thoughts when I was reading Emily Dickinson’s collection of poems about life.

Man is running to achieve the goal but is unaware of the ultimate destination. He is running after the materialistic thing, fighting for it, killing in the name of religion or god, and causing destruction for what? For surviving? Seriously?

Do we really want all these things we are running for? Are we at peace? Will we find peace after achieving all that we want? No, is the only answer to all these questions. Neither we are at peace, nor we will be. The reason is that we are never satisfied in our life. We always have quest to achieve more and more. Man is blind, he is unable to see the truth of life. Why it happens that man in his last days become more spiritual and not before that? The leisure we are running for, will not help us at the death bed. Perhaps, this is the reason why in old age only, man turn towards god.The truth of life is that how big your car may be, you would be carried for cremation on the four shoulders or in an ambulance. How luxurious your bed would be but you would lay down on pyre before the ‘Antyeshi’. How big your bungalow would be but your body would be burnt at crematorium. Are we killing people because they are richer in wealth than us? Or killing them because they do not belong to our religion/ our caste? So, what are we running for?

More than anger, I am filled with compassion for the human race. I am sorry for the condition of man. As I wrote in my earlier blogs run to create memories an not money. Life is a thing with feathers which will flew away without letting you know. So, instead of creating houses, create relations. Instead of collecting money, collect memories. Spread love and happiness.

Thank you for your response. I agree with you because after all everyone has their own views and perspective. I regard your opinion and really enthusiastic to tell you my views.

Wastage of time really mean sitting idle, not doing anything? When I was a kid my mother used to scold me when I used to get up late in the morning and taunt me saying I waste time. She would be right in her own sense but for me time wastage is not all about sitting idle, sleeping, watching movies and doing things other than your work (homework or office work).

For me, those people who are sitting long hours in front of screen filled with monotony, spending lots of time to solve things which actually isn’t working, doing the same work for hours and spending whole life serving others are wasting time. Money is the need of an hour. Who can deny this fact? I can’t. Money is precious and so is time, agree? so spending one precious thing to get another is mere baloney. Earning money at the cost of time is not worth it.

Someone asked me what is more precious time or money and in a nanosecond I replied “TIME”. That person on my sudden response was so shock that he din’t even ask me why? But then I said him,’ Time is something which actually adds memories in your treasure whereas Money adds papers in your treasure; after death you might carry your memories with you but you can’t carry these paper there. So why waste time in collecting these papers? Why not utilize this time to create memories?

Let’s party hard this weekend, spend time with our loved ones, keep some time for ourselves, pamper ourselves, make ourselves feel beautiful, make your parents happy, celebrate b’days, find reasons for meeting with your loved ones. This doesn’t mean that you don’t work and just treasure memories but instead you can treasure memories at your workplace also. We are not in any competition. We aren’t running race. We are living a life. A life which is very short. So, enjoy your work rather than being jealous of others, love others and appreciate others, spend money on yourselves and your loved ones, make sure you live happily because, time gone will never come back and you will be left only with regret and nothing else.

कल तुम पर आएगा,

वक्त ही तो है,

आखिर बदल जायेगा ||

Time is something we cannot rely on. You don’t know about the next moment. You were happy a moment ago; and now you are not. Time do not stop for anyone, nor should we be stagnant. There are obviously some low times in our life but time doesn’t stop there. It’s just a beginning; a beginning of new war with life; a war to win upon.

Time is like a sand; more you try to hold it tightly into your hands more it will run out of your hands. I’m sure it is easy for many of us to say that we should not waste time because time is precious. Denying this fact of time would be idiocy. So, I won’t deny but instead favor it and will put up a question for you? What according to you is wastage of time?

I’ll wait for the responses and then will let you know my views upon wastage of time.

Random Thoughts :)

Last night I was lying on my bed staring at the roof; struggling to sleep and mind was babbling with unlimited useless thoughts. Thinking about work I have to do, what others would do, what new I have to buy, when to visit to my sister’s house and many other bunkum thoughts. Among these thoughts, a funny thought germinated in my fleshy boneless structure; it was the thought of being idle. What if we do not have to work our whole life, have not to pay anything for everything? How good it would be that we are sitting in balcony, sipping coffee and spending all our moment in peace. No running after buses, no waiting for cabs, no office tension, no tension of payments, no tension of salaries, just a happy life at my place.

What would be my routine then?Getting up late in morning, eating when I want to, spending quality time in tranquility, spending beautiful time with family and friends and loving life. These pondering thoughts flown with the blowing air of fan above my head and a different and unhappy thought float my mind; how many days I can spend sitting idle? Would I be really happy sitting idle? Will my mind be at peace, when it is not at peace now when I am idle? The answer to these questions was that sitting idle is not what I want. I want to be happy. I want to be at peace doing my work. I want my mind to be at peace; which will be at peace only if I am happy about my work, about my life, about the conditions I am living in. Actually I will be happy only when I will be satisfied with what I have and what I want.

Stars :)

With  the word countless the first thing that came to my mind was stars.

Imagine! How if you were born in stars. Everything would have been different for you. Every morning you would have opened your eyes to the countless stars in the sky. The whole palace draped in white, from your cloth to your bedsheet everything in white.  Think about you palace made of white ice bricks, with ice flooring and furniture carved through ice. What if your pram would also be a production of ice. Your father and mother wearing a white robe. You as their little prince or princess wearing small white dress with white boots.White waterfalls, White clouds and everything just dipped in white. With your smile stars would have glittered and with your tears it wouldn’t have shown that day.

Now, envision about how would have you been to the neighbourhood. May be through ladder joining your star with the neighbouhood star. How would have you traveled to long distant relative, a car or a spaceship, else on a car looking like spaceship.

The star will be your home. No one else would dwell on it. Decorating your star would have been your purpose. So to shine brightly than others you would have kept yourself happy all day. Wearing white dresses and putting up light make-up would make your star look more bright. You would have your own large palace and to maintain that palace would have been your only work to do. There would not be any quarrel as one family on one star. Countless people on countless stars.

And when the generation of a family will be exuasted then the star will fall.

Dwelling on star can make you a fanciful person. Now you can draw your own world of fantasies. Do tell me about your fantasies.

Change is the only permanent thing in the world!

Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, was established in the year 1929. It is one of the largest and oldest board of secondary education in India. It has more than 16000 affiliated schools in India and across 24 other countries of the world.

CBSE has worked hard to bring about large number of changes in the system. I appreciate the effort made by CBSE, but personally I feel that the changes brought are not working in the right direction. Though the results have improved but on what cost? Do students are getting that knowledge which they are supposed to get? Are they really working hard to score or the scores are being given to improve the stats?

We can see that earlier it was really difficult to score 90% in tenth and twelfth boards but the times have changed, it has become so easy to score 90% nowadays. This marking system has not reduced the pressure on students instead has increased it manifold. The students even scoring 90-95% are not able to get admission to good colleges. Competition has reached to zenith and the sufferers are none other than students. Changes should be for the good. It is poignant to notice that changes brought are not a wise move made by CBSE. It has not caused any good to children.

The other change which CBSE  had brought is choice in 10th boards. Tenth boards, in my opinion are the base for the twelfth class. Students in tenth class are able to get the pattern of board and get to know the pattern to attempt it. Though students have been given choice to give boards or not but the seriousness of tenth class board has just dissipate and this is nagging the mind of the child, because the child get serious only in twelfth and sudden pressure in mind drag them to depression. The Grading system in tenth class is like cherry on the cake.

India’s three-year old ban on failing students till Class 8 has attracted its sharpest criticism yet, with the parliamentary standing committee on human resource development (HRD) blaming the policy for consistently declining standards in reading and math across the country’s schools. This policy when introduced have somehow relieved the students and parents stress but didn’t make them aware of the problems related to it in the distant future. This policy is now being reconsidered by CABE (central advisory board of education) which I think is the matter of relief.

However, the CCE pattern introduced by CBSE is also not fully successful as the students are happy to score from non-scholastic activities in schools which is thus not affecting overall result of the student but however degrading the scholastic result of student. Though CCE pattern introduced is a nice concept as it helps in holistic development of child but a matter of fact is that the marks distribution under CCE is needed to be revised focussing more on scholastic activities.

Changes are the only permanent thing in life and I hope that these changes doesn’t permanently spoil the life of children.

Be Happy!!

I am not surprised about the stress that is getting upon the nerves of people nowadays. Long working hours, unhealthy diet, desk job, office politics and what not; everything is just adding to your stress. I am worried about the world where stress is more than the calmness. My first blog is about being happy, relaxed, calm; which will not only make you satisfied but will also increase days to your short life.

Stress is something which is inbuilt and not environmental. I agree upon it that environment adds up to the stress but in my opinion only 20%, rest lies in our mind; our psychology. Hardships are the vehicle of life. If there won’t be hardships why would we think? Why would we work? The question is why should these hardships of life create stress in our life? Well I believe the peaceful mind works better. More you will think about hard goings of life, more the stress would get onto your nerves. And more difficult it would be for you to come over the problems of life.

Why a problem be treated as a problem and not as a challenge? Why competition should be taken as rivalry and not as friendliness? The thing is, what we think is what creates stress in our life. Our psychology really matters a lot. Foremost, it is important for us is to LET THINGS GO! Do not just let it flow from your heart to your mind. If something troubles you and you aren’t getting its solution, so let it go. And you will see things themselves get into its place. Taking things into your hand and keeping it on your head as a crown would not make your life easier. Pick up things which you think is good for you and it will not create stress for you and let go other things.

Secondly, pick out some time from your busy schedule for yourself. Look about your actions; it should not be such that would hurt others, look about things which you have done; if needed improve them, look out what you want in your life; but of course make sure it should not get onto your mind. Every second you give to yourself should focus on how you can be a better person? Only then time is worth spending else a mere wastage.

Thirdly, you should  steal some minutes from your long working hours to take a walk or to relax. This would add to your efficiency and effectiveness and trust me it will not be wastage of your precious time.

Lastly, make sure you eat healthy and take proper sleep of at least eight hours a day because healthy mind works better than a wealthy mind.

At the end I would say change your psychology; take things positive and you will see that life is much easier and happier.
